Will there be a version of this for WHS2011 eventually? (While I would MUCH rather see the current priority for 2011 be on DrivePool, I would love to see Scanner ported to 2011 eventually as well).

???? You lost me....This is being created FOR WHS2011. Hence the addin that already integrates it into WHS 2011

Nope. StableBit *Scanner* is only for WHS v1. *DrivePool* is for 2011 (which I am currently beta testing). My question here was would the Scanner (which is why this was placed in the "Scanner" forum) add-in ever be ported over to 2011 from WHSv1.

I know, I got confused, too! :-/

Yes. There will be a port to WHS 2011 but it will start after DrivePool is feature complete. DrivePool is the priority now.

Will a license for the current version of Drive Scanner on WHS v1 be transferable to WHS 2011 when it's released? If it's not then I'll probably hold off buying a license until the 2011 version is ready.

The current license will offer either a steep discount or a free upgrade depending on how much work it is to do the port.

DrivePool BETA M3 got a little behind schedule, not by much, but enough to divert more resources that way.

I'm hoping we can get a working BETA by the beginning of August and a release candidate about 1 month later.

Excellent, and the full scanning begins! If I find anything wrong, I'm going to proactively replace drives early as needed this time around. Usually SeaTools will say the drive is still good even if something starting to go bad is found via 3rd party deeper tools such as scanner. I'd rather immediately sell any suspicious drives on ebay, and buy a new one to be safe. We can all finally rest a bit easier knowing our drives are healthy.

Found a bad disk with the scanner, one bad sector... so the scanner is working allright.

No, I'm not selling it on Ebay, I exchanged the drive today at my dealer.... had a warranty on it for two years.
