Having not tried this myself, I would still assume it would work based on this train of logic: If DP and WHS can discover all the pooled drives and reassemble the pool from a fresh clean install of WHS and DP, surely it could eventually find a drive…

Yes, I use the workaround. :-) Makes no sense to me to require a 120 (or is it 160?) drive, only to chop off all but 60GB for really no use (I don't want data on the same physical drive as my OS). So, I trick WHS into letting me do it my way!

I dont know, I've seen this sort of behavior this on my WHS 2011 box without drivepool having ever been installed, so it may be something that drivepool's existence exacerbates. I'm not entirely convinced it's strictly a drivepool *caused* problem.
