3959 problems keeping the service going
For the past couple of builds my machine is having trouble starting the service when it first boots - and has trouble keeping it going during file transfers. I've checked the service recovery options and its set to restart the service 3 times 1 minute apart from each other with 0 days reset time. Should I move that up to 3-5 minutes? Anything we can do to ensure the drivepool service comes online by itself?
Update: I just tried to manually start the service and this is the first time it gave me error 1053: the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. (it's probably good to note it always starts the service VERY slowly)
Update 2: I successfully got the service started - finished a couple small file transfers, and then waited a bit. I then started a 700mb transfer and the service cut out again. I had changed the recovery time to 3 minutes instead of 1 minute - and it eventually came back online but there is clearly an underlying problem.

Changing the recovery time will just cause a 'lag' in the amount of time the computer waits before it tries to restart the service.. You're not accomplishing anything by changing that parameter..
Are you utilizing any of the new performance tweaks included in the last few releases? The only time I have seen anything similar to the issues that you are having was when I had a hard drive on the verge of dying on me..
You may want to enable logging and see if you can get an error code that corresponds with the service failing on your machine..

When I went and looked at the physical drive the folder Recorded TV.1 didn't exist, so I manually created it and gave it the right permissions and then I was able to copy to the share. Not sure what got messed up that the Recorded TV.1 folder didn't exist?
