Thank you,

External raid card died DB had issues

edited October 2011 in DrivePool
OK i just last night had an external raid card die (no data loss just keep turning off).  I keep my small HDD's in a 5 bay external enclosure.  that has some very old data and the first data to be put on DB so it is mirred on a drive in the same enclosure.  When the card went out and the dries diapered I lost the shares that were ONLY on the drive in the enclosure if i had share stored on drives out of the enclosure they are still hear.  replaced raid card and have rebuilt the shares and moved the data back.  I think if a share is stored on DP then an empty placeholder directory should be placed in every ServerPoolPart.XXX so if you lose a HDD or 2 that are the only place that data is the share don't just dissapere.
