Scanner in a VM

edited October 2011 in Scanner
Hi Everyone,

Just starting to put together a VM Server using Windows Server 2008 R2 as the underlying host and then running WHS2011 as a VM (along with a couple of other VMs). Can you run (or does it even make sense to run) StableBit Scanner in the virtual WHS2011? I will be passing a RAID array and a couple of other disks direct to the WHS2011 VM, so presumably it will have enough access to these drives to be able to scan them. Would love to actually run it on the Server 2008 R2 OS so that it could scan all drives in the system, independently of the various VMs.

Any ideas?

Thanks
