Thank you,

Smart check is not accessible on any of your disks?!

edited April 2012 in Scanner
Hi, just installed scanner to check it out and I find that none of my disks smart status can be read?
I understand it can't be read on disks in RAID but I have two disks which aren't (system and one storage). The two that aren't in a raid array (3 2tb WD drives in MS Software striping) are -

WDC-WD2500JD and a VB0250EAVER.

Why can't I get any SMART data from the disks?

Thanks

  • Probably help if I detail my system specs too :)

    HP Prolient Microserver
    Windows Home Server 2011
    8GB Ram
    1 x 250GB HDD
    1 x 250GB HDD
    3 x 2TB HDD Microsoft Software RAID0
  • For anyone else having this issue. Installed the AMD SATA controller driver and all works fine. Seems I'd left it to the windows standard driver.
