Unable to remove drive from pool

I have been trying to remove a drive from the pool, but have been unsuccessful. The message that ultimately appears is ambiguous and doesn't necessarily give good details as to why. I will post the message when the error happens again (currently trying to go the remove again, for the 4th time).

Any have any ideas? Is there another log that I can review for further details?

  • Are you running the latest version? There have been fixes to drive-removal in the last few versions.
  • I am currently running 1.0.0.5974.

    I know there is a newer release out there, but am unsure how I should go about doing an update. Do I merely install over the currently installed version?

  • Yes, you simply install the new version over the old. No need to uninstall the previous version. You will need to reboot the server after the upgrade.
