Drivepool create directory access denied

edited April 2012 in DrivePool
Hi All,

I'm new to drivepool and am a bit stuck.
Probably my own fault in not understanding the principle of drivepool operation :s

Anyway, so I create a pool and get driveletter P
I can copy files to the pool, but cannot create a new directory thru explorer (or share) on the P drive, am getting access denied.
Is this by design? If I try to create a directory directly on my drive in the poolpart directory then this works fine.

I would like to allow a program to create directories thru a share on the P drive.
I could bypass this problem by letting the program create directories on my poolpart directory on the disk itself. But what happens if drivepool rebalances files/directorys and decide to move the folders on another disk, then my share would be lost?

Thanks for any help
