Possible Drive Corruption

edited August 2012 in DrivePool
I was checking the WHS Alert Viewer and saw "one of more server hard drives must be checked for errors". I followed the instructions to check + repair the drive, however in doing so I was warned that it would need to put the drive offline. I was concerned that in doing so it may upset Drivepool so I tried to first remove the drive from the pool, but DP gave an error indicating corruption. I am unsure what to do, I have been running DP for over a year without any problems whatsoever. I haven't noticed any data loss, but I only access a small proportion of the data on the server.

Dashboard indicates I am running version 1.0.1.6008 of DP.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

  • Don't take the drive offline. Select No and then it will ask you if you want to schedule a disk check. Select yes. Reboot the server and it will run chkdsk on reboot.
