Removing left over WHSv1 files from drives

edited September 2012 in DrivePool
I have a lot of data taken up on my drives from leftover WHSv1 files (about 700gb across three drives). It all comes from x:\de\folders, and seems to be old backups of my PCs that WHSv1 kept. Is it safe to delete these files? All of my data from x:\de\shares has been moved to the DrivePool drive at this point.

If I can't use the old backups, I'd like to remove them.

It should be safe to delete them. WHS2011 does not use, nor can even read, WHSv1's backups.

(p.s. this discussion is in the BitFlock forum, I'm guessing it should be in the DrivePool forum)
  • Yikes, not sure how that happened, I thought I was still in the DrivePool forum. Thanks for the info either way. :)
