Error Message when moving folders to Pool

edited August 2012 in DrivePool
I added two existing drives (D: and E:) to the newly created pool (F:). I attempted to move some folders over to the new pool but received the following error message: An unexpected error has occurred 0x8004007E. Please try again. Does anyone know what is causing this error message?

  • I am having a similar problem and based on my testing, it is a permissions issue.  Share permissions are everyone full control, NTFS permissions do not appear to be restricted.  I found I cannot create a new folder on the pool drive at ALL, however I can create content (documents, video, etc)....but no folders.  Not sure of the resolution yet.
  • Have you activated the copy of DrivePool? Even as a trial?

I found that if it is not activated I get that error message, once it is activated all works fine.
