Thank you,

Antivirus and DP double and trippel scans?

edited February 2013 in DrivePool
I'm running Eset Nod32 Antivirus 6 on my WHS 2011 box. Seems to work fine, but I notice that in the real-time scanner log that it scans files both on J: (my pool drive) as well as \\?\Volume{14c6362f-3b8a-412b-9cfc-3fd5258d608c}\PoolPart...... which I assume is the "real" location of the files. Does that mean that all files are scanned twice on access? If so I quess this impacts both read and write speed unnecessarily much. Worst case I imagine the files is scanned both on J: and on each of the duplicate locations as well.

Yes, the PoolPart folders on your physical drives are the real location. I would suggest excluding those folders from Nod's scans since it's already checking the files via your pool.
