Thank you,

Removing C:\ServerPool\ServerFolders\Music.*

edited July 2011 in DrivePool

I have disabled the Media Server but I cannot the Music folder now because Music.2 already exists.

Is it ok to remove the links from the C:\ServerPool\ServerFolders folder?

If you need to manually delete a root folder from the pool, do it under C:\ServerPool\ServerFolder.Mount\

You shouldn't touch C:\ServerPool\ServerFolder\. This folder is managed automatically by DrivePool to mirror the Mount folder.

Of course make sure the folder doesn't have any files that you want to keep.

Also, generally use the Dashboard to manage folders and do this only when troubleshooting.
  • Ok. Note that the Music.1 and Music.2 folders are not visible in the Dashboard. I only know about them because of an error dialog refering to them.

Yes, in that case I would merge the files in those folders back into the real music folder (e.g. D:\ServerFolders\Music) and delete them.
