Thank you,

Crashplan & Drivepool

edited August 2011 in DrivePool

Has anyone else set-up Crashplan to back-up their Server to the Cloud?

I had this running on v1 and wanted to check how anyone had set-up the back-up in Crashplan to work well w/ Drivepool.

Cheers!

I'm not backing up my entire server to the cloud, but I am backing up folders within my pool.  Everything is working as it should.  I have created a CrashPlan folder with links pointing to the data on the pool I wish to backup.   For example...

    mklink /D D:\CrashPlan\Music \\SERVER\Media\Music

Then I include D:\CrashPlan\Music in my CrashPlan backup set.  You can also point CrashPlan directly to the C:\ServerPool\ServerFolders.Mount folder to access the drive pool or create links to point into this folder.  I prefer the links as I can move my data where ever I like and simply change the link.
